The coaches conveniently avoided Tex-Mex the two nights before we raced and went for the standard American and Italian Dining.
Night One: Cheddar’s Casual Café.
Not that the rest wasn't good, but the highlight was definitely dessert- Obviously, owing to our female nature, "closure" was crucial.
The Legendary Monster Cookie:
Described on the Menu as: A colossal homemade chocolate chip cookie baked in a skillet, topped with premium vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, chopped nuts and a cherry. Enough Said.
BUT; I do have to say, I
have had a better cookie dessert :
Uno’s Deep Dish Sundae. The menu describes it as : Vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream atop a giant chocolate chip cookie freshly baked in a deep dish pan.
Cheddar's may make their version sound more appealing, but their cookie is so good that my high school teammates and I used to go to Uno's just for dessert- and we would order the Mega version. It is nothing less than a mouth-watering cookie cake.
