Morgane Caroline: I am currently a student athlete at UVA, in Charlottesville, Virginia. I have two qualities that have greatly influenced who I have become: My French heritage and my passion for running. I was born and raised in the U.S., but both sides of my family are from France- so I have spent nearly every summer abroad, mostly visiting my relatives in France. The travel side of my blog will be taken from these experiences, as well as the trips I take across the country for Track meets. The food side will encompass my fascination for cooking, baking, and nutrition. When I started running as a sophomore in high school, I had very little knowledge about proper nutrition for a competitive runner. Collegiate athletics has provided me with many resources that have helped me gain more understanding of the needs of high intensity athletes, and triggered my interest in the rapidly expanding nutritional sciences. Most importantly, I love exchanging favorite ways to prepare food with those around me and adding my own touch to recipes. I seem to have a knack for taking unconventional risks with my food creations.
